Artist: Companion
Title: Reap The Lost Dreamers
Genre: Rock/Progressive, Ambient, Experimental
Format: 180-Gram Vinyl LP
Label: Akarma Records
Website: www.cometrecords.com

Companion was a spin-off of the prog-rock group Leviathan. The band was under Wain Bradley's (vocals,
keyboards) direction with Brit Warner (vocals, guitars), Mike Russell (piano, organ, vocals), and Andy Tate
(guitars, vocals), with a guest appearance by drummer Shof Beavers. Reap The Lost Dreamers was
a fine release that put Bradley into a most complimentary light.

Brit Warner added an exceptionally tasteful female element to the band with beautiful and inviting vocals
that wrapped around all the tempos and textures of the music, all the while in perfect syncopation with the
rest of the band. Her voice was flexible enough to handle the soft parts as well the more demanding upbeat
parts when necessary, although her inflection was steady with very little change, it was consistent and
pleasant throughout this album.

Since three out of the four members of the band played keyboards, their music offered many different
variations provided by different configurations. By offering a mixture of rock, pop, progressive-rock and
ambient experimental (later groups like Kraftwork would explore further) a broader more open minded
audience was exposed to the beginnings of a tasteful more laid back prog-rock that bands like Yes and Pink
Floyd would offer their listeners as well.

The LP is quality 180-gram virgin vinyl with a colorfully designed jacket including a glossy lyric sheet with all
the credits listed. This album will be a welcome addition to your collection and one that you will want to
listen to frequently if you enjoy exploring the history of prog-rock.
