Galaxy: Visions (CD, 50:37); Garden of Delights Records, CD 063, 1978/2002 E-mail: n/a Cyberhome: http://aural-innovations.com/mailord/god.html 10 words or less: German progressive similar to Eloy’s first album Elaboration: The liner notes in the CD issue of this 1978 one-off LP claim that Galaxy is “the better Eloy”. As a mild fan of Eloy, I can say that this is not true at all unless you are comparing this album to the very first, eponymous Eloy album that is more hard Rock than Symphonic. The opening track on this album is just that... hard Rock, perhaps in the style of Grand Funk or some other such 70s band, only Galaxy aren’t as tight. Oh and dont confuse this Galaxy with the German band who recorded the slightly better album Nature’s Clear Well in the same year. There is no connection between the two bands. I must say that tracks 5, 6 and 8 are interesting but those three aren’t good enough to make this album a worthwhile purchase unless you are 1) A KrautRock fanatic and 2) Enjoy 70s hard Rock with nothing more than mere hints of progressive elements. ~ L Perez
