Mohodisco - Kaloomith(CD 2002) Ambient Electronica textures on a bed of straight ahead rock rhythms with lots of synth swoops and swishes. Drummer Mark Cobb, does some cool beat displacement and hi-hat work to elevate the tunes he's on and the drums and bass do some nice syncopated stuff in the breakdown of "Our Paths Are Sonic Waves". Recorded well, his drums sound great. Not much here in the way of songs or melodies, the tunes seem to run into one another and are hard to tell apart. Also, the same sixteenth note high hat beat is used on almost every tune on the CD. If you're looking to spice up your Ambient Electronica listening habit with electric rock guitar and drums thrown in the mix, this is the CD for you! ~ by Joe Nardulli, EER-MUSIC.com EER-MUSIC.com Editor's note: Fans of Ozric Tentacles, Fonya, and Steve Hillage will get into this groove fer sure, excellent psychedelic trance axe and synth work!
