10 words or less: relentlessly heavy instrumental progressive Rock of the
highest caliber

Elaboration: Do you like the heavy parts of Wetton era Crimson? Do you like the
70s French band Shylock? If you answered yes to either question then GET BOTH
NEBELNEST ALBUMS NOW!!! Nebelnest play ‘rip your face off body slam you to the
ground step on your chest with steel toed boots till you cant breathe’ prog.
This stuff is blissfully vicious! Don’t get me wrong... there are times when
\Nebelnest let up for a passage of a minute or so and throw in some more subtle
textures but mostly they are content to just kick your a$$ all over the stereo
room. If you are only a fan of melodic, sweet prog with all the right moves
then dont bother because Nebelnest push the envelope of intensity but most
importantly they do this without falling into any Metal cliches. There are
plenty of odd time signatures and crescendos and Mellotron to satisfy anyone
able to withstand the intense barrage that almost every piece starts with.
There aren’t a whole lot of melodies to be found on either album but the
rhythmic assault alone makes me proclaim Nebelnest to be one of the freshest
sounding bands to play progressive Rock in quite some years. ~ L Perez
