Rusty Cooley - Rusty Cooley
Shred Alert!! Rusty Cooley has been practicing WAY too much as this CD highlights his
incredible technical ability on the guitar. Incendiary speed picking, articulate lines and blinding
arpeggio sweeps…if you want shred, you got it here in droves. Rusty's "Chops from Hell" (whose
website of the same name he has written instructional CD-ROMS for) will leave you shaking your
head…Cooley never comes up for air.
Unfortunately, the CD lacks any compostional sense. The tracks "Dark Matter" and
"Jazzmine's Song" show some promise but there are no real songs here, only parts thrown together
to highlight Cooley's solo flights of fancy. Pedestrian drum programming and dated sounds further
detract from the listening experience. But, if you're looking for a total shred guitar experience,
Rusty Cooley will not disappoint!
