Canartic Blacklight Days Canartic is a trio from Austin, TX. It features Jon Coates on rhythms and sounds, Gerard Smith on bass and Randall Peterson on guitar and processes. Those credentials would lead most folks to believe that this is a blues or rock band. It is not! Canartic is an e-music ensemble. Blacklight Days pays homage to the 1970's headshop experience where blacklights were important pieces of the indiscretional puzzles. The music is, thus, laden with effects of 1970's art rock as well. it is a very smooth experience and a magic carpet ride to nostalgic depths of the rest of the mind. ~ Jim Brenholts
