Maurice Rickard

Live, Circuits of Steel Tour and Live at Club Cafe

Live, Circuits of Steel Tour is a set of three long-
form (over 18! each) compositions by Maurice
Rickard from the 2003 tour. He performed these
pieces in Chicago, St. Louis and Muncie. (Muncie-
????!!!!!!) This is very cool spastic space music. Maurice
embraces the concept of "If it ain't broke, break it!" He
processes static, feedback, clicks, pops and
computerized beeps and boops. Then he processes the
processes. This deep stuff is very engaging material.
~ Jim Brenholts

Maurice Rickard is Death Pig. Live at
Club Cafe is a set of five avant-garde e-music pieces
that he improvised on the fly. This is some weird stuff!
That is weird in a good way. He processed all the noise
and sounds in a continuous feedback loop and then ran
it all through more processors. That technique creates
large atmospheres and strange music. Succinctly, this is
great spit! ~ Jim Brenholts
