A Christmas from Mars

Panorama is a set of diverse contemporary 
instrumental music with some vocal accompaniment. 
(One sing has distinct vocals. Two songs have wordless 
chorale vocals.) It is from Mars Lasar and

multi-instrumentalist with holistic new age sensitivity 
and sensibility as his strongest musical assets. The new 
age and ambient pieces on this disc are superb! When 
Mars strays into soft jazz and heavy rhythms, he loses 
his originality and some of the charm is gone. The 
overall disc is, however, stronger than onions and it 
would take more to cause damage. The ambience and 
space music are top-notch! The gentle melodies are 
superb! This is a worthy effort from a venerable

several genres and styles. The originals are, of course, 
the orchestral and classical versions. Many of them are 
the quintessential versions of these timeless wonders.

There are also hundreds of rock, jazz and adult 
contemporary versions of Christmas carols. Most of

some of the originals written for rock or jazz ensemble 
are inadequate.
