10 words or less: Combination of Symphonic Rock and French spoken word piece 

Elaboration: I was already familiar with the French Symphonic Rock band Pulsar from their great 70s album Strands of the Future so my expectations were high. Right from the outset though I was disappointed due to the spoken word recitation layered over the music. If you’ve never heard of Pulsar, they are most often referred to as the French Pink Floyd and while that comparison is accurate, Pulsar do bring something of their own to the table. On this album there is plenty of their signature, spacey Keyboard sound as well as some added Saxophone and acoustic Guitar textures. I can not get over the cumbersome amount of spoken word vocals there are on this album. Even if they were in English, I believe they would be just as annoying. In the end this is nowhere near the level of greatness that Strands of the Future displays. This album is for completists only. ~ L Perez
