Radio Massacre International: Republic Radio Massacre International (RMI) is a British e-music ensemble. Steve Dinsdale, Duncan Goddard and Gary Houghton create massive walls of Berlin school sequences on analog synthesizers. They use NO digital equipment. Republic has three walls of sound. Each composition is a long-form e-music extravaganza. RMI takes a little bit of everything that is good in Berlin school e-music and puts it to good use in its best light. This CD has influences from as far back as Pink Floyd's space rock ballads of the late '60s, TD's analog adventures of the '70s and from digital computerized music from the '80s and '90s (even though they are totally non-digital). RMI uses all these references to forge a totally unique sound. This CD, from '96, is classic e-music at its sequenced and expansive best! ~ Jim Brenholts, EER-MUSIC.com
