Shahin & Sepehr are a new-agey, world-music guitar and keyboard duo, with Shahin Shahida
playing lead guitar and Sepehr Haddad handling rhythm guitar and keyboards. This compilation
is drawn from their four Higher Octave releases, which date back to 1994. Soft and airy bass
and drum tracks accompany the principal instruments. Shahin's nylon-string guitar is most
often in the foreground; he's unaccompanied on "Golestan Interlude" and the prelude to
"One Thousand & One Nights." For good measure, the best-of compilation includes a remix of
Cat Stevens's "Wild World" (the first version appeared on 1998's World Café) and
a new bonus track titled "Melting Heart." Nothing objectionable here, but nothing too
