A QUICK didactic WORD on "meditation" -
Some gurus, swamis and such will say to clear your mind of all thought and
let the great TRUTH flood your being. I disagree with this approach. Why?
I believe there is a darkness, an evil, a hatred, and many destructive forces
that await such "brain-voiding" by the uninitiated and spiritually naive.
Instead of brain/soul/spirit "flushing" I believe meditation is most effective
and safe when a focal point of truth is the object of meditating.
Ancient Hebrews used this method when contemplating the mysteries of . . .
YHWH
and focused their mind's eye, their whole being on making an eternal aspect
of their God part of their very being. They breathed, they "ate", they worshipped
through song, psalms, prayers, and meditation on certain aspects of El Shaddai.
To me, this is the way to meditate. Ambient music can be a doorway to the
ineffable, to the unseen, to the depths of the Cosmos -- within and without.
Be forewarned . . . ambient music is like a word of Power. It flows and speaks.
It changes you bit by bit as David's harp soothed the foul spirit of Saul.
Enjoy discovering the paths of Eternity through His Song within you.
